apRoberts Arts is currently showing the work of JA/BC, the collaborative efforts of Jimmy apRoberts (me) and Brian Christopher. We create art in a collaborative nature. Brian and I started working together back in 2006 and have found much success in our collaborative approach to working with digital and traditional media. Exquisite Corpse
The project that started it all. The pressure of producing a new body of work for an art show that was only a week away led us to dig up this old school art class assignment. Little did we know the series would grow up to 35 feet long.
Bike Paintings
The bike painting series is an experiment in abstact landscape, imaginary characters and staged photography. They are pretty fun if you get the chance to see one in person.
Breadcrumbs
Breadcrumbs is a series of paintings that follow a somewhat random and spontaneous visual and textual narrative constructed using bits and pieces from a variety of classic fairy tales, woven together to create a twisted new story.
Just shot and edited a music video to promote Joe's new website, Texas-Soul.com. It was shot with the new Canon 5d Mark II. Great song and a great camera.
